“Think big thoughts, but relish small treasures” -H.Jackson Brown,Jr. #newyear #holidays #selfcare #present #moments

This is our last blog post of 2016!  When you reflect upon this last year, make sure your focus on things that can be celebrated whether it be that you developed new coping skills, took time for yourself, was honest, stayed in the moment, communicated with your partner, etc.  When people focus what is positive solely on promotions, wealth and material items, they tend to lose the small treasures that make us human, connect us to others and connect us to ourselves.

This blogspiration challenge for the next couple of weeks as 2017 waits around the corner, is to relish in the small treasures of the past year.  It’s okay to think of big goals for 2017, however take the time now to appreciate the small or big steps you’ve already made to get where you are and breathe them in!  When the failures creep in, remind yourself that failure is just a step towards your success.  You are human, mistakes happen and so do other chances.  For now, look around you, appreciate where you are and also where you are going.
