“These flowers will be rotten in a couple of hours. Birds will crap on them. The smoke here will make them stink, and tomorrow a bulldozer will probably run over them, but for right now they are so beautiful” -Chuck Palahniuk #beauty #moment #mindful

Our mind is where our worst disasters are formed.  Usually they come in the form of “buts.”  For example: “This moment is great with my significant other, but I know they will piss me off” or “So far my work day is going well, but I know my boss is going to ask me to do something at 4:45pm that will be impossible to complete in time.”  Regardless of what negative may happen, find the positive in the moment.

The quote here is telling us that yeah, these flowers will eventually be less than beautiful and disappear, however we can enjoy them now by appreciating their colors, life, smell and natural beauty that moves us inside.  The challenge this week is to take a moment, preferably one where you find yourself feeling negative and look around you or in you for something beautiful.  It may be remembering a moment with a friend, picturing a scene like a beach you have gone to or speaking to a co-worker who puts a smile on your face.  Embrace what you have that is positive in the moment,  for sure there is beauty in your life!

To learn more about embracing the moment, please join us for breakfast and adult coloring on April 1st.  If you are a client, you can sign up with our Office Manager. If you invite friends, they can register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/color-me-mindful-tickets-32708476935
