With this quote, I’m not just talking about getting out of bed on Mondays to get to work. For some, especially those with depression-thinking about doing anything, even something simple like making lunch can feel like a journey of a thousand miles. Of course this also goes for those who feel unmotivated and our procrastinators out there who will find anything else to do, but the priority! This quote is to show that whether your journey is to the fridge, to apply for a job, confront a conflict or get yourself to your therapy appointment, it all begins with one step.
The challenge this week is to take one step at a time. Don’t think about it…take action and soon you will find yourself tackling that journey with courage, strength and endurance! If you need support, have the courage to ask. Whether it’s removing all the junk food from the house to eat healthier or just hearing someone remind you to meet your goals, a little encouragement can go a long way.
